Home Guard militia impression.
November 13–15, 2026
Pioneer Village and Museum — Dade City, FL
An interesting site with a great deal of potential. We have previously portrayed Federal impressions there. All four companies had at least one representative last year. The more participation we have, the more we can accomplish.
December 11–13, 2026
Join us for a unique battle reenactment held at the original earthen fort captured during Sherman’s March to the Sea.
In 2025, the battalion served in both armies, with Captain Yonce’s company portraying the Federal attacking force, while Short, Hendrix, and Vaughn served as Confederate defenders. Expectations are that this year’s organization will be similar.
By all accounts, a great time was had by all.
January 15–17, 2027
Otter Springs RV and Campground — Trenton, FL
State Guard impression featuring:
February 12–14, 2027
Olustee Battlefield State Historic Park
The Battalion will be divided between Federal and Confederate impressions.
The Confederate impression represents the 1864 Department of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina (Charleston Depot). Confederate troops were reasonably well uniformed and equipped and had been serving in garrison near Charleston and Savannah.
The Federal impression represents the 1864 Department of the South. U.S. troops were well uniformed and equipped.
March 5–7, 2027
Natural Bridge Battlefield State Historic Park
The Battalion will feature multiple Confederate impressions.
All Florida Battalion forces will operate under the overall command of Department Commander Colonel Rominger.
March 13–15, 2027
Fort Clinch State Park — Fernandina, FL

This year, a $20.00 donation is requested for Company dues during April 2026.
The majority of these funds help cover annual insurance costs while participants are in camp and on the field during events. In past years, insurance expenses have averaged approximately $500.00.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Special Note: Members who have not paid their dues for field insurance coverage will not be eligible to participate in battle scenarios. Coverage provides one million dollars in protection for your benefit.
We currently maintain a sufficient amount of equipment and black powder for our members. Weapons, uniforms, and leather gear are continuously maintained to ensure proper use and readiness.
A $15.00 donation per event is requested for the rental of a Soldier’s Kit.
At present, the 3rd Florida Company A has the resources to provide up to 20 Soldier’s Kits, if required.
Soldier’s Kits (powder and caps not included) consist of:
Pre-rolled cartridges and primer caps will be made available at cost.
For those new to the hobby and requiring a Soldier’s Kit, preparation is important in order to ensure an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
Please understand that at most “living history” events there are challenges to overcome, and participants will be exposed to outdoor conditions and aspects of military life.
